In Japan, many companies hire new graduates in large groups every April. However, Colorkrew hires throughout the year. This October, we welcomed two talented new graduates to our team.

One joined as an engineer, and the other joined the business team, working in product operations. One graduated from a university overseas, and the other graduated from a university in Japan.

To celebrate their arrival, we held a special welcome ceremony, which we are happy to share in this blog.

The October 2024 Welcome Ceremony

Our ceremony was divided into two parts.

Part 1: A Formal In-Person Ceremony

The first part was held in person at our office with key stakeholders. This formal part focused on a welcome message from our CEO, Keiji, designed to help the new graduates transition into their professional careers with a sense of purpose and excitement.

Part 2: A Casual Online Celebration

The second part was an online event for all Colorkrew employees.

First, the new graduates introduced themselves.

They presented what they have learned so far, why they chose Colorkrew, and what they would like to try in the future.

At Colorkrew, each new team member is paired with a mentor who provides daily support and serves as a trusted advisor for work-related discussions. During the welcome ceremony, these mentors shared heartfelt messages to encourage and inspire our new graduates.

Additionally, former new graduates introduced our internal communication support programs, explaining how these initiatives help build stronger relationships within the team. They also offered practical advice on how to leverage Colorkrew’s open and flat organizational structure to collaborate effectively and make the most of their work experience.
